Red Bergerac – Pouzy
These red wines are derived from Cabernet Franc (15 %), Cabernet Sauvignon (15 %) and Merlot (70 %) varietals after selection from different parcels. The wine-producing process takes place after hand-picking and total destemming and then they are left to age for 10 to 12 months in oak casks. They are a vivid, moderately dense colour with tinges of blue. Scent is open and has already slightly developed with notes of vanilla and candied fruit. Fine attack in the mouth, fat, well-balanced and subtile. Harmonious finished with never an excess of tannin. To be consumed from now on and up to 5-8 years at 16 – 17 °C with game.
